Plasma Table CNC

“Intro to Welding” and “Design Thinking and 3D Modelling” are both mandatory prerequisites before you can take this class. 

If you combine your metal work experience and 3D modelling skills together you can learn how to use this new and exciting tool! Elevate your welding projects and take it to the next level with this advanced class.

For Beginners: Don’t be intimidated. Our instructors have been in your shoes and will work hard to make sure you have a great experience.

For Experienced Makers:  Orientation classes are mandatory for all tool areas but there’s no reason why you can’t have a good time.

Difficulty: Intermediate

Prerequisite: Intro to Welding and Design Thinking and 3D Modelling  – You must take the introductory classes prior to taking the Plasma Table class

Age: 14+

Duration: 3 hours – you must arrive 15 minutes before the start time to participate. The class will start as scheduled, please be respectful to the instructor and other participants by arriving on time.

Skills Learned: How to create a compatible design and operate the Plasma table safely

Class Goals: By the end of the session, students will be comfortable with the operation of the plasma table

During the class, students will learn and demonstrate their competency with the equipment. Students will be authorized to use the equipment independently as members of Maker Cube at the discretion of the instructor. Please note that based on attendance this tool training may not provide significant practice with the tool, nor discuss any intermediate or advanced techniques.

Not a member? If you love the class and want more shop time we offer great incentives for new members on the day of the workshop.

Safety First! Required:

Safety Glasses and Hearing Protection (provided)
Closed-toe shoes
Tie long hair back
No loose jewelry or cords
Wear long sleeved shirts, pants




What is the age limit for the class? The minimum age for participants is 14 with a participating guardian or 16 otherwise.

Where can I park? Maker Cube has a large parking lot and street parking. It’s free to park.

How do I cancel or reschedule a class? Refunds or credit for future classes will only be provided if we are notified by email to info@makercube.x10host.com at least 24 hours in advance of the class. No refunds will be provided for late cancellation, but we do offer a 50% credit towards a future class.
